Bow Wow Meow Pet Tags has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy.

What data do we process?

This privacy policy applies to all customers whose orders are submitted at this website.

We will not ask for more information than we need for the purposes for which we are collecting it and we will only collect and use information where we have lawful grounds and legitimate business reasons to do so. 

We are required by law to hold customer information for as long as is necessary to comply with our statutory and contractual obligations and in accordance with our legitimate interests as a data controller. We will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that your personal data is protected, secure, maintained and up to date.

The following sets out the personal data that we will collect and why we collect it:

  • We collect data you voluntarily provide to us including your name, delivery address, email address and any phone numbers or other details you include when you submit your order information.  

This information is used to fulfill the order, to send despatch emails, to deal with any queries about the order and to process reissues. We may contact you to see if your tag has arrived and to invite you to provide feedback. Our packaging slip invites all customers to upload pictures of their pets wearing our tags to our Facebook page. 

We will not send you marketing emails.

We do not share this information with any other companies.

We may use this information to bring or defend any legal claims and to prevent fraud.

  • We collect information about your customer's pet including pet's name, date of birth and breed.

Pet information is requested so that we can gather broad information about pet ownership in the UK, which helps us to determine the sorts of products you might be interested in. If available, the pet's name may also used to help us to identify the order quickly in the future if required, and we may also anonymously include the pet's name at our pet names site www.perfectpetname.com if it does not already appear on that site.  If you do not wish to provide these pet details, the fields can be left blank.

  • We save details of any communications with you, whether by phone, email or post.

We do this in order to efficiently and professionally deal with any queries and requests for reissue, and to gather feedback on our products so that we can continue to improve the quality of our service and products.  We may also be required to use this information to bring or defend any legal claims.

  • Our web servers collect the user's IP address, and may collect the type of device being used and its operating system, the name of the ISP, the page viewed and when it was accessed.

This data helps us to administer and secure our website and to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website.  

Who do we share data with?

To operate effectively as a business we may share your personal data with our trusted service providers who need to access it in order to carry out their duties.
